ECDC is happy to announce the start of the 2024/2025 season of RespiCast, ECDC's Respiratory Disease Forecasting Hub. The first week when we will accept your forecasts will be week 42, with the first submission deadline on 23/10/2024.

The new season of RespiCast brings some exciting changes:

• the COVID-19 Forecast Hub will be integrated into RespiCast which will now feature all main respiratory indicators under the same platform.
• RespiCast will feature ILI and ARI indicators as well as COVID-19 hospitalisations. We are also adding nowcasting which will for now remain an exploratory feature.

Additionally, we will also organise a RespiCast 2024/2025 launch event where the goals, changes, and future plans will be presented. More information will follow.

We are looking forward to your contributions to this year’s RespiCast forecast.
